Sometimes for legibility's sake I'd like to be able to get a little more white space in between lyric lines in printed output. Is there a way to do this that I've missed, or should I rush off to the Wish List with it?
Here's a workaround. Let's say you have two lyric lines; specify three instead. Put your lyrics into #1 and #3, leaving #2 blank. Voila. Now you have a lot more space.
Unfortunately, there's no way of changing the width of that newly acquired space, since font size is global for lyrics. So mayhaps a trip to the wish list would be appropriate.

The vertical space used by each lyric line is based on size of the font, and is fixed as such. You can perform tricks such as a blank lyric line or layers, but there is no direct way of nudging a little more space between each line.
Oh, yes! (light comes on, the little bell rings) NW Support mentioned Layering! By tweaking the lyric displacement and/or lower staff clearance, one should be able to get pretty fine control.
You can also use this technique (layering) to vary the lyric positioning on individual systems/bars/notes.
For instance if the melody drops very low for a couple of bars then you might want to move the lyrics down temporarily, which isn't possible with just one stave, so you just put those lyrics onto a layered stave in a different position.

Hi people, it seems that we already discussed such a topic some time ago. (...) I just found where: https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=769.msg3628#msg3628 , but I guess at that time there was some other threads talking about it.
