Title: Rhythm Guitar
Post by: Jack Grover on 2001-08-03 04:00 AM
HI
Does anyone know how to make a decent guitar strumming sound so I can put some rhythm guitar into my songs. Thanks

Depending on the tempo of your song, you can use a series of 64th notes (or tripletted 64 notes if you want it even faster), each tied to a following chord. Works quite well at most folk/rock/pop tempi (120 or thereabouts). It does end up rather busy-looking, so you might want to put this in a hidden staff, and have a "visual" (muted) staff with either the chords or just chord symbols, depending on preference.

I did about the same thing as the first reply. Wrote a piece in cut time and scored chords on one staff using eighth notes. Copied and pasted to fill it out, used automatic beam to connect them, and used staccato markings to get the bar effect.
