Title: Mordents
Post by: Paul on 2001-06-16 04:00 AM
When I want to add trills, tremolos, etc. to a score, I can use the boxmarks fonts. But I can't find the "mordent"-sign in these fonts.

Does anyone know which font I have to use, for adding a mordent to a score?

There are two forms of turns at 'r' and 's' in Boxmarks - are these not what you want?
If not make a request to Marsu in this forum.

Thanks Barry,

But the musical symbol I need looks almost like this: ~|~ (It's the boxmarks sort trill symbol at 'i', but then with a vertical line in the middle of it).

Dear Marsu, do you know where I can find the symbol I need?

The symbol you're looking for can be found in the nworn.tff font file. You will need the nworn.zip file. It can be found at User Tips (http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/usertip8.htm#fontcatt).

Thank you Michael, I've found it. (nworn3.ttf=>Shift+M)

It's in the Bach font, too. You can get that from the same link, and it has all the elements you need for the fussiest of ornament signs.
