Which is the best accepted way of presenting an Operatic aria to the singer of performer, in its simplest way, with piano accompaniment or, say, a string quartet?
Of course, supposing that, in time, the aria is intended to be performed with a full orchestra...

Piano. Not only is it easier to find one pianist than 4 string players, but it's usual for singers to rehearse to a piano accompaniment.
