Once more, with feeling: this is one of the hottest topics ever to hit the NWC forum. Check out https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=850 and https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=1036, for example.

Easiest and best midi2wav I have found is the Roland Virtual Sound Canvas (VSC-883H). You can pick it up at http://www.edirol.com/ for $69. Superb sound, incredibly simple. Just load your MIDI file in the VSC player and click the Audio Convert button.

If your music is monophonic, then you can definitely can convert WAV into MIDI.

The best software I have found is called "Digital Ear". Digital Ear's website is:

http://www.digital-ear.com/

Results are truly amazing see:

Take care,

Jeff
