I was wondering how to laye not on the same beat without having to make a new staff. (ie-bass drum music).

I do not understand your question. It would probably help if you explained in a little more detail what you are trying to do.
You are limited by your sound card. You certainly can have 5 notes in a chord, all triggering at the same beat.
