Title: Ya know...the one that goes like...
Post by: Graham Pond on 2000-09-20 04:00 AM
I've got an interesting request. Can anyone tell me the name of the peice that is used in the Bugs Bunny Cartoon with Elmer Fudd when Bugs is playing a barber on Elmer Fudds head? It's a quick peice and very lively. I know this isn't a lot to go on, but it's all the info given to me. I can hear the peice in my head, but don't even know who it was composed by. If you know what I'm talking about great, please give me a hand and send a message to my address.

Thanks
Gremlin

It is from Gioacchino Rossini's opera "Barber of Seville".

I don't recall the cartoon (showing my age)!

But if you are thinking of the aria from "Barber of Seville" that goes La,la,la,la,la,la,la,la,la,la,..la,..la, and then mentions Figaro, the aria is "Largo al Factotum." You can find it on Karaoke Opera CD, if you're into that. It's suitable for baritone, but difficult!
