Title: notes without staves
Post by: Joseph Guix on 2000-08-19 04:00 AM
I would want to use the tip offered by NWC to prepare exercises of rhythm, but if I do what is said, I don't see the stems and the beams of the eigths or the sixteenths.
What can I do ?

Would you please be more specific about what you are doing?

The NWCV15.ttf font contains notes (used by the program for grace notes) with 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 duration. These are mapped to F, G and H. You can use these in any word-processor such as Corel WP, Word, etc. for simple staff-less rhythmic exercises. (Sorry, no whole notes; maybe a lower-case "o" in a bold Arial would work for this).

Alternately, use a general-purpose musical font; a few are available at the Scriptorium.
