Post by: Harold Crow on 2000-07-19 04:00 AM
Howdy Folks!!
I want to get the violins to do unison vibrato.
What is the symbol for that? I also want to do
a trill note but I can't find how to do it,
Thanking you!!!

There is a trill symbol in the Boxmarks font (see the Useful Files section of the NWC Scriptorium (http://nwc-scriptorium.org/)) This is visual only and has no effect on playback. For playback there's no alternative to writing out the trill in notes of appropriate duration.
Many files contain visible but muted staves for the correct look and audible but hidden staves for the correct sound. To mute a staff, press m to bring up the Mute List and check the appropriate box. To hide a staff, uncheck it in the Contents tab of the Page Setup dialog (reached from the File menu).

I don't know of any symbol for unison vibrato. Do you mean having every member of the violin section perform vibrato with exactly the same frequency [and amplitude]? Good luck making this happen in real life.
