Title: Widening note spacing / fingering spacing.
Post by: Susan on 2000-05-19 04:00 am
1. Is there any way of widening the note spacing further than the set duration of the note to make room for long words in lyrics?

2. I have been entering fingering on parts above and below notes, and this looks fine on screen. When I print the fingering appears to the left of the note especially at the beginning of bars. How can this be prevented?

Many thanks.

In 1.70, you can select your fingering and open properties(right-click menu)/expression placement (tab)/justification (pop up list) then select "right" or "middle" through your intension.

In 1.55, you can try faking the program by adding one or two spaces before your character.

(I generally use lyrics for fingering but mine are not for piano, so I insert some upper or lowercase arrows from symbol font)
