Title: mute one voice in a staff?
Post by: Dane Hutchins on 2000-03-04 05:00 AM
I sing barbershop harmony. BBS sheet music is generally written with two parts singing on the treble staff and two parts on a bass staff. Is it possible to playback just one voice on a staff? i.e., playback only the Lead voice if the treble staff contains both a Lead and a Tenor voice. Can this be accomplished on NWC 1.55a?

Yes, if you put each voice on a separate staff and combine them using staff layering. This is the easiest way to input the notes anyway. If both voices are already on the same staff, I suggest you copy the entire staff to another staff, then delete all the notes for one voice on each staff.
