Title: Flow Direction with Repeat as Last Bar Line
Post by: Brian on 2000-02-22 05:00 AM
If I have a Master Repeat Close as the ending bar, is there any way that I can get a flow direction (D.C. al Fine) to both look correct and be executed the second time through the repeat?

For a Da Capo instruction strictly you should have a second time bar after the Master Repeat Close, otherwise the DS will be actioned before you get to the MRC but as a shorthand a DC inside the last bar is OK.

To get the repeated section to repeat do the following:

1 Insert an invisible MRC immediately after the MR Open. This disables the repeat altogether.

2 Insrt an Invisible Local Repeat Open immediately after the invisible MRC, and an invisible LR Close (with repeat count 2) just before the final MRC.

3 Insert the DC instruction between these last two bar lines (you get LRC, DC, MRC).

And there you are. A bit of a palaver an d surely something for the wish list to correct.

Great Solution! It works exactly how I wanted.
Thank you!
