Title: Printing features
Post by: Marco Losavio on 2000-02-11 05:00 AM
Hi,
I'm evaluating Noteworthy. During printing I have these problems:
1) The AUTHOR field is printed near the first staff. How can I set the position of the author field?
2) Is there any way to print clef and key ONLY on the first line?

Thanks for your time.

1) Change the area used by the top staff in Staff Properties (F2). Or insert the Author informantion yourself as text. This way you can put author information on the left side as well.

2) This can be done in the 1.70 Beta by hiding Clef and Key symbols.

Just adding to Blair's suggestion.
Reducing the top margin in Page Setup will allow extra room for the increase in the upper staff limit.

Excuse me, but I haven't understand what's the option to set into the Staff Properties dialog.

Are you sure that this works? I want to print Clef and Key symbols only on the first row.

Reducing top margin NoteWorthy doesn't increase the distance between the Author field and the first staff line

Yes, this definately works in 1.70. If you add a new hidden clef and key in bar 2, then these will not appear in later systems. We specifically desgined it to work this way.

Staff Properties (F2), Visual tab, in the Vertical Size group box, increase the Upper value. This is the number of spaces (measured in note size) that will be left above this staff on each line. If this spreads the staff sets out too much, decrease the Lower value on the bottom staff.
