Does anyone know of a font that has the pictorial representation for guitar chords as I use guitar chords quite a lot.typing in the text is unsatisfactory

I once tried to copy the font package/program for guitar chords from Midisoft without success. I am not personally aware of anything currently available for Noteworthy.

If your handy, maybe check with the folks who do the boxmarks. They may be able to provide the mechanics for creation (or import) of the symbols if you can find or create them. See https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=1177.

Perhaps also post the matter as a Wishlist item. Noteworthy is good about incorporating suggestions if there is enough interest.

Search the Internet for fonts called "Frets" A, B, and C.

You can find them at http://www.fontfreak.com/ding-f.htm , called frets; the .zip file contains fretsa, fretsb, fretsc, and a text file.

Hope you know the chords, since there is no char-by-char description.
But it seems to me that they are in some logical (chromatic by type) order.

HTH.
My "allchar.xls" file was first made to notate the chord name of these chars...
