Title: Playback while inputting
Post by: Ian Hinton on 2000-01-08 05:00 AM
I have been inputting notes into staves by using the computer keyboard and the mouse. I have now purchased a MIDI keyboard that is working correctly, but can't find a way of hearing the notes I am inputting into the staves. The input is working correctly, as I can see the single notes or chords being registered on the pentagram, but I can't find any way of hearing the notes as I play them. I can only hear the music when using F5 to play it.
I have gone through all the options in the configuration, but I can't seem to find the solution.
Is there anything I can do?

It is on the same option tab as where you selected your recording device. It is at Tools | Options | Record. Enable "Echo MIDI input" and the other two boxes, and off you go.

Midi thru is the same as Echo Midi Input to prevent any confusion. :)
