When I put the symbol "{" before a chord, nothing hapend, but in the samples yes ( I don´t now the name in english for the effect maybe "harpeged chord"
The text symbol has no effect on playback. The sample has a hidden track that you are hearing. To see this hidden track, use the menu option File | Page Setup..., Contents tab. Under the Groups box you will see the hidden track.
