Title: recording and playing back on cd
Post by: STEPHEN T. HAWBAKER on 1999-12-16 05:00 AM
I am trying to record a song I wrote and burn a CD for a gift for someone at Christmas.

I think I need to convert the MIDI file into a Wave file.

Am I dreaming about being able to do this or is it doable.

Please help

You can make a WAV file as follows :

Step 1 : Connect an audio cassette deck (or a second computer) to your computers soundcard output channel and record the song on an audio cassette.
Step 2 : Connect the same audio cassette deck to your computers sound card input channel, play the audio cassette and record the sound in a WAV file using Microsoft Sound Recorder(usually found on your computer Windows 95 under programs/accessories/multimedia).

Happy fiddling and Happy Christmas of course.
