Title: Fermata on the bar line
Post by: Peter Edwards on 1999-10-31 04:00 AM
I've just been notating some early music (Purcell) which places a fermata on the double bar line. This, I take it, is meant to be a GP silence (to let the echo die down?) before the next section starts. NWC however seems to apply it to the next note.

Now I know that a breath mark is the preferred option, but even if I put a breath mark on one of the conductor part (with the desired break figure) it still doesn't seem to work.

Help!

Noted. We will fix this in the next release (provide the ability to center the fermata over a following bar line).
