Title: painful acciaccatura
Post by: lawrroc on 2026-05-02 12:50 PM
I've encountered this acciaccatura that I can't write as per the sheet music, which I've attached.
The two small eighth notes with the cut on the stem don't overlap perfectly at the junction of the two staves, baritone and bass.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks, and have a great weekend.

Like this? - i.e., with spacers of size 1.25 ... I hope the relative position remains stable also after page layout changes; I tried a few modifications (e.g. different margins, extending staves to end-of-line), and it seems to work.

Done! Easier than I thought. I thought it involved stems and noteheads, which needed tweaking. These acciaccaturas are repeated throughout many of the 138 measures. I was a little skeptical about the transcription. Thanks!
