Title: Nederlandstalige terminologie
Post by: Opagust on 2025-08-23 08:02 AM
Vraagje voor de nederlandstalige leden:

Wat is de juiste muzikale nederlandstalige term voor 'slur', 'tie', 'stem' en 'beam'?

Slur = Legatoboog
Tie = Overbinding
Beam = Waardestreep

N.B. No, I'm not fluent in Dutch at all. I can barely understand something.
In these cases I use a trick.
I look at Wikipedia in a language I know well for the exact meaning I'm looking for, then I ask for the correspondent page in the other languages.  ;)
As you can see, there is no correspondent Dutch page for Stem (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stem_(music)).  :(

Thanks Flurmy!

I won't forget the tip for looking on a Wikipedia page for other languages.

English "stem" = deutsch "Hals" = Nederlands "stok" - see https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muzieknoot  ;D
Good trick, looking into WP for a word or something related!
