Title: Notes heard before play
Post by: SEBC on 2023-09-24 02:17 AM
I’m hearing a bunch of notes when I hit play before the composition starts to play. What’s going on?

You might be hearing hidden staves. Under "File" choose "Page Setup ..." or choose the open book icon. Under the "Contents" tab, hidden staves will not have an X in their checkbox. Check the empty boxes and click on OK.

Thank you, Warren. I have figured out that it actually has something to do with my use of Mike S.'s arpeggio markings, since when I removed them, the issue stopped.

Exchanged messages offline with SEBC.   The cause of the problem (I think) was that the chords for the arpeggio were not muted when using Mike's arpeggio.ms. So the raw chords were heard as well as the arpeggio.
