Thank you! I looked around last evening and figured out how to actually close my virtual computer. When I restarted it I was able to use Noteworthy again - until I tried again to connect my Yamaha piano. Same thing happened, and I had to reboot windows again. So I guess my problem is with the cord I use to connect the piano to the computer. I've had it for at least 12 years. I'll try a new cord. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it!
I have a virtual Windows computer on my Mac - VMWare, which is where I open NoteWorthy Composer. When I close (suspend) VMWare and then reopen it, is that the same thing as rebooting? Should I shut down my MAC? Not sure that would have any effect on my Windows, however.
Today when I was connecting my Yamaha Keyboard to my computer in order to use Noteworthy Composer, I went to options/midi and my screen froze. I cannot use any part of Noteworthy Composer now. Is there a way to force quit? I have the hourglass instead of a cursor except when I try to x the options screen. Then I get a message that the program is not responding and I can either End Now or Cancel. When I click End Now I'm told to send an error report toe Microsoft. I have done that repeatedly, but my screen is still frozen and Noteworthy Composer is unusable. Help!!
I'm having another new problem. I have always been able to use both a tie and a slur between two chords of which the melody notes are the same, but the harmonizing notes modulate. Now, as soon as I hit the / , it searches for the next notes that match each note in the chord. How can I apply the tie to just the melody notes while the slur applies to the other notes?
My printer, an older HP, is the same one I've been using for at least five years. I used it with NWC 1.75, which was on my old PC, and never had this problem before. When I upgraded to NWC2, I had just gotten an iMac computer. In order to be able to use NWC, I put a virtual windows computer on my iMac. I wonder if my issues have anything to do with that.
In NWC2, why is there such a huge difference in size between 17 and 18 in the staff metrics setting? Setting it at 18, the song I'm trying to print out takes up all of three pages. When changing it to 17, it takes up one page plus one staff on the second page. I'm very frustrated and am wishing many times that I could go back to NWC 1.75.
