That's what I used as a guide to set up NoteWorthy Composer on Linux Mint. The information is a little old now, but it hasn't changed all that much. Let us know how those instructions work for you.

All words (except the first one) appear as expected.Thank you Francis for your answer, what I meant disappeared is in the refrain, when soprano sing " when the roll", it is not shown, but the one the baritone and tenor and bas " when the roll" it is shown.
Yours all are shown?
Thank you,
Frank
The file you uploaded only appears to contain the soprano lyrics and as far as I can tell, they are all shown. Is there perhaps a different version that doesn't work?

But I'm not in the UK and these are the names I use...
Fair enough. I mean, I'd argue that I'm not Arabic and yet, I still use Arabic numerals. Truth be told, I decided to just go with what a random blog post labeled them. Does Elaine Gould have a different name for them?? ;-)
Thank you Francis, I bookmarked your blog, I like it
Frank
You're quite welcome, but it's not my blog, just one that seemed to have a handy chart to steal.

General Discussion / Re: quarter note's rest out side of the staff
It sounds like you're a bit confused by the UK names for notes. Maybe this chart will help?

General Discussion / Re: Is anyone using a Windows environment to run NWC on a MAc?
Thanks guys - this has been productive and may help others too. Unfortunately my mate decided to try out Musescore (apparently there's a mac version) instead so we may have lost another user
I hope they at least give NWC a try at some point. I would a million times rather NWC in Wine than native Musescore!

General Discussion / Re: Is the NWC Viewer/Player available as a webpage
I don't use the viewer much, but I believe it has the ability to change the global tempo by a percent. That might be an advantage when creating a learning video.
> Could the capture be uploaded to YouTube without being compressed?
YouTube should be able to handle it just fine. That's one of the things I like about YouTube. Give it just about anything and it'll convert as necessary. Although, it may take a while to upload if your Internet connection is like most and has a much slower upload speed than download speed.
> Is there a way to compress "in house" or does it have to be done online?
Sure thing! I'm pretty sure VLC is up to the task http://www.videolan.org/
> That's three things to try to coordinate: the capture button, the NWC play, and the mp3 play, and I'm struggling to get them in synch. Can anyone think of a solution or better way to merge the mp3 and the video?
I think you need video editing software at that point. I've heard good things about DaVinci Resolve, but I've not tried it.

About all I can say is that it doesn't happen on Linux. The only little annoying bug we get is that tabbing through a dialog box moves the caret twice.

General Discussion / Re: Any plans to make this available for Chrome OS?
Getting NoteWorthy Composer up and running in Crossover was pretty slick. I just had to select it from the catalog and click through the installation process. There doesn't seem to be MIDI support, but I was able to use a sound font with the viewer. I didn't want to do too much experimentation on the clock, so I didn't try to get a soft synth working with NWC. However, Chromebooks aren't particularly good at sound, and the sound font playback stuttered quite a bit.
I also noticed that Chromebooks can run Linux now, too. They always could, but it used to require turning off some of the security. Now there's a Google-sanctioned way of running it. So it should be possible to install Wine and Timidity in the Linux environment (see here: https://forum.noteworthycomposer.com/?topic=6800.msg70514 ).
Both of these options require Intel Chromebooks. The Crossover route requires a Chromebook that supports Android apps ( https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chrome-os-systems-supporting-android-apps ). Both of these options also require a substantial amount of storage space, so if you do go the Chromebook route, I'd recommend getting more than the base 16GB of storage.
I hope that helps!
