I have version 1.75 of NWC. I would like to know if version 2 can allow me to enter chord names (as in jazz lead sheets), and have the chord names change if I transpose the piece.
From the What's New section, I'm guessing the answer is "No," but I thought I'd check anyway.
At one point I was told that the new version of NWC would allow you to enter chord names (i.e. fakebook style , such as Bm7), and that they would change with transposing. Is this a feature that did not get implemented?
Here's a problem I've never solved: When importing MIDI files, I get 64th notes, 128th notes, etc, even though I've set the resolution to eighth notes. I'm sure others have come across this. Is there any solution -- it's a lot of work to fix up a file after importing.
I've used NWC for many years. I often write jazz charts in which the melody is written with regular notes and the chord symbols appear above the staff (e.g. Bb, F#m7b5).
The problem is that I often need to transpose these charts for, for example, tenor sax. Is there any solution other than manually changing each chord symbol?
