Windows XP and Printers

This is way off the subject but I thought I would share my experience with other readers of the forum. I use an old Kyocera F1000 laser printer for b+w work, and loaded the "digitally signed" driver included with XP and all seemed well ...... until I tried printing a landscape format NWC file (and also Excel spreadsheets in landscape format) when after an even longer delay than normal the page printed with at least half of the page contents in the wrong place. I new it couldn't be a Noteworthy problem because it affected Excel aswell, so I started adjusting print spool settings, etc, all to no avail (and much wasted paper).

After much scratching of head I remembered getting an old DOS version of AutoCAD to print through the Kyocera using the HP Laserjet Series II setting, so I loaded this driver (again digitally signed) and bingo!, everything is OK again!

I suppose there are other message boards that might find this useful, but I thought fellow Noteworthy users should benefit first.
