Title: What the!? -- there's a message-editing timeout???
Post by: user111 on 2006-02-06 12:39 pm
Why is there a message-editing timeout!??? When I went back to a message I posted JUST YESTERDAY, the "Modify message" link was GONE!! ""Why can't I edit messages posted on, like, the day before!??? Sometimes I might even want to edit messages I posted a year before! If you don't remove the message-editing timeout, I might have to post the "please delete this thread/post/message" to all the threads I posted on, although you never actually deleted it as I told you to anyway...

In the old forum, we could not edit at all. It's an improvement.
Also, the time limit forces you to think before you post. And me, for that matter.
Happy posting,
Rob.

I personally would rather see a time limit on editability than have to worry about having to go through all the old posts in the entire forum to check if anyone changed anything from way back.
