notes won't display

For some reason, notes arn't displaying in NWC. It's version 1.7, and even when I downloaded 1.75, it still isn't showing up. Does NWC not work with windows xp?

If you have just installed NWC, you should try restarting Windows.

NWC uses a special font to display musical symbols. Windows might not notice that the font has been installed unless you restart.

Also make sure that you install NWC with administrator rights; this may have an effect on installing a font.

When the font isn't there, Noteworthy does not start at all, I think. So it must be something else. It is nothing to do with Windows versions, because I have seen Noteworthy work on Windows 95, 98, 2000 and XP. And different versions of Noteworthy, too.
Did you copy an installation from another PC, maybe? Then again, that would lead to font-problems again...
Re-install a whole version. Never fails.

Re-installed, everything works now

Sometimes, Windows gets confused with regard to installed fonts, and a restart is the only way to correct the problem.
