Using Step time, can you record on two staffs simultaneously?

I'm sorry if this was answered before but I'm having trouble finding the explanation.

When recording in Step time, can you somehow set up 2 staffs so that your right hand records on the treble clef and your left hand records on the bass clef at the same time?  As of now I can only record notes on one staff using Step time.

What is Step time?

If it's a feature of NWC, the answer is likely no.

If it's software not by NWC, you may need to find a Step time user forum.

In NWC I think you can play directly from midi keyboard into the program, but the program doesn't have any way of knowing where your left hand stops and your right hand starts.

You might trying out the chord splitter macro found in the Scriptorium.

When using step time, you are working only in the active staff that has the input focus. You can select note durations with the pitch bend wheel. The help for MIDI Input Active has more details on this.

David: You seem to have misunderstood the original question. "Step time" refers to a method for capturing MIDI keyboard data into NWC.
