Title: crochet = crochet
Post by: Paul Ayers on 2007-06-01 07:35 am
Is there a way to show the symbol 'crochet = crochet', or 'quaver = quaver', to indicate that the beat stays the same when changing time signature?

G'say Paul,
this can be done by placing a text object.

I have 3 font suites available for use with NWC which all contain suitable characters.

For crotchet = crotchet you would use "Œ=Œ" (no quotes) from SwingText, MusikTextSans or MusikTextSerif.

These fonts are available via the Scripto: http://nwc-scriptorium.org/helpful.html#Fonts

To make character choice easy Typecase is a wonderful tool...  Much better than "Charmap".

Being a text object, they have no effect on playback so you would still need a metronome mark but you would hide it.
