TRANSPOSING SETTING

IS THERE A WAY TO LOCK IN THE PITCH CHANGE IN THE TRANSPOSE FEATURE WITHOUT HAVING TO UNCHECK THE TRANSPOSITION PLAY BACK BOX EACH TIME? ALSO CAN A PARTICULAR ISTRUMENT BE LOCKED IN SUCH  AS A FLUTE OR VIOLIN ?
THANK YOU

Create a template with the proper transpositions for the instruments you want to use. Flute and violin are pitched in C, and do not neeed to be transposed, unlike horns, clarinets et al.

Once the box is unchecked, it stays unchecked.

YES THE BOX STAYS UNCHECKED BUT ONLY FOR THAT PIECE OF MUSIC. IT SEEMS TO ME IT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE TO HAVE IT WORK THE REVERSE OF WHAT IT DOES AND UNCHECK THE BOX IF YOU DIDN,T WANT THE PITCH TO CHANGE

The actual pitch change takes place in the Instrument definition. Normally, the tonal center of an instrument would be defined in the Instrument definition, and not defined by a Tools, Transpose operation.
