Title: MIDI type 0 to type 1 converter?
Post by: Roberto Mariottini on 1997-04-04 05:00 am
Las year I've seen somewhere a program to convert type 0 MIDI files to type 1 ones. I've forgotten where it was. Does someone knows of it, have it? It's difficult to do?

Thanks in advance

I use a great program called WavMaker which does conversions of many types, including MIDI 0 to 1. It also "converts" or renders Midi files to WAV. It's fairly cheap, and a sharware version is available. After converting the files, you'll find that they will import properly into NWC (to the best of its abilities, that is).

A type 0 to type 1 converter is no longer necessary for use with NWC import. As of the new version 1.31, the MIDI import wizard handles this conversion automatically during import.

I hope this helps.

I downloaded a bunch of converters awhile back. There must have been about 30 or 40 on that one page. I have them on disk as soon as I find it I can send program.
