Title: Zoom level
Post by: David Palmquist on 2006-12-09 06:32 pm
I was surprised to find the zoom levels in 2.08 are preset.  You can't zoom to 50%. Makes it awkward if 33% is miniscule and 66% is too big for your screen.

I'd like to see the zoom level dialogue accept user input level.  Right now, entering 50 results in 500%.

As you indicate, the zoom levels are preset to percentages that will yield a valid editor display in the NWC2 formatting engine. As it currently works, if NWC2 accepted a user entered value, it would still end up converting to one of the levels that are shown in the box.

Can we get something between 33 and 66 then, please?  It's such an extreme difference.

Given the current editor architecture, where each line in a staff must have at least one pixel of gap and have an even number of pixels, you are provided all of the possible values.

Also, the actual percentages will vary based on the print size set in File, Page Setup, Fonts.
