Title: Flow directon marks
Post by: Lars Eriksen on 1998-12-07 05:00 am
I am currently typing choir arrangements on the NWC. To make the playback right, I have to put marks like "da capo" on _every single staff_, or some staffs won't be repeated.

On the print out this looks rather silly - especially since the mark has to be notated even on both the lines for the piano.... Is there a way to get around this?

Aside from that, the program is excellent for work with choirs. Not least the fact that one may play back each of the voices individually is a real time saver!

Without wishing to doubt you, have you actually tried printing this out or looking at a print preview ?

I have used 'da capo' and the other repeat instructions frequently in my music and although you have to enter the marks on every stave, NoteWorthy is clever enough to only print the marks on the top most stave.

It is also useful that you DON'T ONLY have to put the marks once since there are occasions where you can have hidden staves where you don't want the music to obey a global stave instruction.

I reckon that the methodology here is probably just about right.

Thanks a lot. :-)

Somehow I assumed that the score would look like what I see on my screen.
