Score outlay

Is there a way to seperate a family of instruments from each other to give it a professional look. Like if you have trumpets and horns, and you want to bracket them together and not have the bracket continuing all the way through the rest of the instruments. Tried about everything, is there a way? Please help, thanks, Mick

You cannot control the bracket at this time. You can, however, combine a Standard style staff into an orchestral arrangement to separate out a section using bar line extension. This is as far as you can go at present.

This is a good thing to add to the wish list!

Also, you can insert an upper/lower Grand Staff pair into the middle of an orchestral score to tie together Violin I/ Violin II, or Tenor-Alto and Bass Trombones, etc. It's especially useful if the staves before and after the pair are set to "standard." This ties the barlines together for those two staves and adds a bracket at the beginning. Might be suitable for your purposes...??
