I am having problems keeping the bar lines together.
Can anyone help on how to write a fall off a note and the sign to repeat the previous one or two bars

The markings it sounds like you are looking for are included in the boxmarks font, which is available at the NWC Scriptorium (http://nwc-scriptorium.org/).
Install boxmarks as one of your user fonts under page setup-fonts tab and you should be good to go.
