Insert/Text expression/Staff Position

Is there any way to set up only once the staff position
when inserting multiples text that are to be placed all
at the same line ? Is a lost of time having to point with
the mouse to the line desired or changing the staff position
box each time.
The Expression, Preserve Width an Display Font boxes remain unchanged once they are setted, but does not happens the same width the staff position.

1) Insert the first instance of the text.
2) Put the cursor to the LEFT of the text (or anchor), hold down the shift key, and press the right arrow key to select the text.
3) Hold down the Ctrl key and press C to copy the text into the copy buffer.
4) Move the cursor to the horizontal position you wish to place the next instance of the text. Vertical position does not matter.
5) Hold down the Ctrl key and press V to insert the text at the cursor position.
6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all instances of the text have been inserted. You can also move to a different staff (Page Up/Page Dn) and insert the text.

to make things go quicker use the keyboard rather than the mouse.

Otherwise the solution Paul gives overhere is good too. But you have to make all your text items in the same time.
Note that he uses the kbd keystrokes instead of mouse-clicking menus... :-)

Note : Ctrl-Insert is the same as Ctrl-C (copy from window to clipboard)
Shift-Insert              Ctrl-V (copy from clipboard to window)
Shift-Del                  Ctrl-X (move from window to clipboard)
This may save time for right-handed people. Unless you use Ctrl with the right hand, which I doubt. Few users did learn type-writing... :-)

Fine for inserting repeated text, but what I really want
to have is the ability to set a default position for
dynamics (pp/p/f/ff/etc.). Nearly all the time, I want the
dynamic markings to go in the same place on the staff (-12).
Why can't I set it up so that that's always the value in
the staff position box, instead of the current vertical
position of the cursor? Usually the current vertical position of the
cursor is wherever my note values happen to be, and nobody puts
dynamic markings there in the middle of the staff...

I usually make it two octaves below middle line, and then it's just two keystrokes (Ctrl-Down) to get there.
Also, if you do all the dynamics at the same time, just use the left and right arrow (or control arrow) keys to keep on the same line.
Lastly, in my macros, I have one which adjusts the vertical position of such entities so that having got it wrong, it's not to hard to change. I WISH M$ had a new macro recorder for Windows 95, but they don't so we're stuck with 3.1's.
