I need a cheap utility to convert Midi type 0 to type 1.
Does anybody know such programs?
http://midconverter.com
Free MID Converter
The classic tool for this is the small, very simple yet effective Midi File Converter (http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/progs/software.htm) by Jeff Glatt.
Wow, thanks for that link, Fred! That site is a gold mine of information. You have just made my day. :)
You're welcome! Yes, it is indeed a gold mine. Here, for the record, is the "front door" to Jeff's The MIDI Technical Fanatic's Brainwashing Center (http://www.borg.com/~jglatt/)
Midi File Converter by Jeff Glatt won't install.
it fails with the message that something wrong. i'm really not familiar with such things like DLLs, etc, I just want to install program that works.
The problem is that I cant install that converter at my WinXP.
: The installation fails with the message that something's wrong with some kind of libraries or smth else. I'm really not so familiar with computers. I need a program that really works.
Hi there
I run WINXP and the programs that I have running on my machine are :midfil3:midinfo:midprgms:genmid0:genmidi
I think that genmid0 and midfil3 contain the dlls required.
anyway "midtype" now runs and converts.
Note if you have a sequencer package "cubase, cakewalk"
will convert for you and save the file.
Hope this helps
