General Discussion / Re: 32th to look like halfs
To get the second restchord half note to line up visually on the proper beat with the staffs of other instruments, you need 3 staffs. Staff 1 muted with the restchord half notes followed by non-visible rests (perhaps one doble dotted 1/8 rest), and layered to that a muted staff 2, with the beamed 1/32 notes, each followed by the same non-visible rests. Then a hidden staff 3 that plays the notes.

General Discussion / Re: "Audit Enharmonics" tool: some possible improvements
Quote
Audit Enharmonics will never of much use until it can operate on a selection, rather than the entire staff.

The selection needs to include the following bar line, so that all subsequent notes of the same pitch (and octaves?) in a measure are scanned for adjustment, and so that naturals can be placed on subsequent notes in the same position on the staff to which the adjusted note is being moved. It gets a little complicated to keep track of it all when several notes are being adjusted, especially when they are adjacent.

if an accidental will cause the next note to require a natural, use its enharmonic equivalent

My limited attempts at a PHP script to do only this were never quite good enough because of the above reasons. In practice, I had to limit my selection to only one bar because I usually had to correct the results, and it became confusing if the selections was too large. It became easier to just make the adjustments manually.

General Discussion / Re: Long program loading time
I had the same thing happen with NWC2 on XP until I drastically reduced the size my soundfonts were using. Are you using soundfonts? If so, how big are they compared to your 512 memory?

General Discussion / Re: Lining up beams/flags for layered staves - how to, or new feature request?
I have very many NWC notations, and I use separate staves for 1st and 2nd instumental parts, and I also adjust the stem length on one of the parts to get the stem lengths to match. When there is a slight mismatch, it is because the stem length value used on the other staff is not an integer value. I go to that staff and click the the "Override Stem Length" for that note using the default value, and then, if necessary, adjusting the stem length on the first staff. I've never seen an instance where this doesn't solve the problem. I'd be interested in seeing your example. It might be something I've not run into.
