Title: Printing Problems
Post by: bbbean on 1997-04-25 04:00 am
I'm running Composer 1.31a under Win/OS2, and whenever I try to print a score on my Epson EPL 7500 I get a blank page followed by an error page that reads:

Offending Command= Error=nametype:undefined this name is not defined in a dictionary Stack=

My other truetype fonts print just fine, as do all postscript fonts. Composer printed fine for me until version 1.30e.

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled, thinking I might have a corrupted font file, but this doesn't work.

I've also uninstalled the font NWCV13A and re-installed it, but still error messages.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I have problems with my epl-7500. Printing the testpage under Windows 95 gives only random asci characters.
Whats the solution???

Henk, it is not clear what kind of test page you are referring to in your question. If your printer has a "test page" function, it may very well be printing a series of ascii characters as its test. If you are getting ascii characters when printing from NWC, but notation appears on your screen, then you probably have a buggy printer driver. Your best bet is too look for a newer print driver from the printer manufacturer.

Hey,

i have problems with printing pages in landscape. I get
only lines, with the HP emulation mode and the original
WIN95 HP Laserjet IIP driver.

my second problem is the entry roller. sometimes the printer
can´t retract the paper. i cleand up the roller with
alcohol but it´s steady.

when i'am printing grafics i get only pictures with less
quality, with the HP emulation mode and the EPSON mode.

I'am very pleased to get some tips.
