Title: deleted music
Post by: rikbel on 2012-08-18 03:46 pm
Is there a way to have a deleted piece of music to be sent to the recycling bin instead of just disappearing.  Having accidently deteted a part of a score it would be nice if it could be restored                 Rik B

Rik B,
I suspect that your problem lies in the settings of
the Recycle bin of your PC.
(For XP): Right click on the Recycle bin, and select Properties.
My suggestions are:
1. DO NOT tick "Configure drives independently"
2. Tick            "Use one setting for all drives"
3.  DO NOT tick "Do not move files file to the Recycle bin....."
4.  Select         "Maximum size ..... " according to your liking, (10% on my PC)
5.  Tick            "Display delete confirmation dialog"  (THIS HAS SAVED Me VERY< VERY often)

Settings may differ for other operating systems.

I'm thinking that the poster is referring to deleting a piece of a score, rather than the file.  If so, Ctrl-Z (undo) will restore it.
