I noticed that in the Sample Moonlight Sonata that comes with Noteworthy there are Arpeggios and Trills ( "{" and "tr~~~~") These seem to just be text, but the notes still play like arpeggios and trills are being used. How do I do this on my own? Thanks
Welcome to the Forum, Jimmy
NWC doesn't as yet support trills and arpeggios. In the case of Moonlight Sonata, the music you see is not actually playing - the staves are muted. What you hear is a duplicate (almost) in hidden staves where the trills etc. are constructed from individual notes. If you click <File><Page Setup><Contents>, you will see that there are two extra staves in a 'Hidden' category. Check the box, and then they will become visible. This method is documented in the User tips page under http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/usertip2.htm#trill
Another way of constructing trills (a bit tricky this one) is to use the multi point controller. See user tip http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/usertip3.htm#trillmpc
There is an easy way to construct an effective arpeggio using grace notes - you will find this in the user tips under http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/usertip4.htm#sprdgrc
Hope this helps, Peter.
