I am unable to figure out how to use "Page setup" to break up a score into several groups; e.g., four staves for strings, another group for winds, etc. Could someone point me to the instructions for this. TIA Bill
It's not that hard... but you have to realise that the 'Group' field is not really a drop down box. You can type right over the group name, and create a new group in doing so. That's all, really!
There are some instructions, last updated for version 1.70 but I think the items you want instruction for haven't changed that much.
If you go to the command summary on the Scriptorium http://nwc-scriptorium.org/command.html (http://nwc-scriptorium.org/command.html) and download sections 2 and 4, these will have the instructions you need.
Section 4, Page 49 deals with setting up groups.
Section 2, Page 24 deals with the Page setup Dialogue.
