Title: Setting Vertical Postion of Hairpins
Post by: BobPetty (S. Glos -UK) on 2008-12-14 09:45 pm
Hi everyone

Is there a way of setting the vertical postion of the hairpin?  It seems to be fixed, so that if there are notes on ledger lines, the two collide.  I would prefer not to go back to cres and dim, so if anyone can help, I would be much obliged.

Many thanks

The vertical position of the hairpins is controlled by the vertical position of the previous dynamic marking.
So if you move the previous dynamic up, then the following hairpin will also move up.

You can always insert an invisible dynamic immediately before the hairpin and  then it becomes easier to get the position correct.
