Title: Beta 2.08: Note spacing bug
Post by: Rick G. on 2006-11-17 03:06 am
NWC2 adds extra space between notes if the first note is an upflag or contains a semitone.  I wish there was some control over this as often the extra space is unneeded.

But it shouln't add even more space if the note has both.

This has been fixed as of Beta 2.19

And what makes it absolutely clear is if you set up Rick's clip and then highlight the quarter note example, then hold down shift and toggle arrow up and arrow down, you will see the remaining notes not move an iota - but try that with the eighth duration and watch.

There would appear (to me), to be no reason for this behaviour since the flag of an eighth note when in a chord involving a semitone gap falls inside the space taken by the note head no matter which dirction the flag is pointing.

(long way of saying agreed !)
