Title: transposition
Post by: Tim Novembre on 1997-02-26 05:00 am
I have recently acquired this programme and wish to know how not only accidental notes, but key signatures as well can be adjusted to the transposed key. To clarify, if I were to transpose a compsition in C major down one half step, how could I get the key signature for B major to appear, and the new accidentals to disappear.

Transpose staff will transpose any key signatures as well as notes. If there is no key signature, it will use a lot of forced accidentals if necessary.

If you don't have a key sig at the start, you can insert one, it'll come up as one F natural, implying C major. Then I expect Transpose staff will work as you expect it to.
