1/ Try a sip of whisky or whiskey?

2/ Listen to a little Beethoven or Ellington or Strayhorn?

3/ Get a jazz chart and improvise on the chord changes for a few minutes, then put your notes down on a staff in nwc, and take it from there.

4/ Join the NWC or NWC2 newsgroups and download a few of the files people post there, and help edit them. That might inspire you.

Have fun...

Get on your bike, go into green areas. Bring a notebook or a voice recorder. Stop when the notes pop up in your head, and record like mad.

Any results?
If not, you can have a stab at harmonising 'Knolraap en lof, schorseneren en prei' (turnip and chicory, scorsanera and leek) which we would want for our chorus ;-)

Rob.

What on Earth (or in Earth) is scorsanera?
