converting analog music to wav

I want to convert music that is on an audio cassette tape to digital form. Does anyone know of any software that can do this???

Any "Wav recorder" program will do this. Even Windows' native Sound Recorder, although the total record time will be severely limited unless you resort to some "trickery."

I use CoolEdit, but this also does a lot more than just record wavs, giving extensive editing control also.

The more recent releases of Exact Audio Copy (a precision CD ripper) include rudimentary wav recording/editing features... for free.

If you happen to own an Iomega ZIP drive, the accompanying software includes a sound recorder that can create a much larger file than the one that originally came with Windows.
