Title: Changing the black notes in the satb template
Post by: Jay Davis on 2003-10-26 02:52 am
I have been trying to use the satb template, but can't get the black alto and base notes to change. How do I move these notes so that I can setup my cord?

The two top parts are layered, and also the two bottom parts. To un-layer the two top parts, click the Staff tab then Staff properties then Visual and uncheck the layer box. Then OK and the two parts will be presented on two separate staves and you can page down and notate as required. Similarly for the bass cleff staff to separate tenor and bass.

The Page Up and Page Down keys on your computer keyboard can be used to select each layered staff. You can also simply turn off layering temporarily, using the View menu option called Allow Layering.
