Ties won't come off on playback

Thanks for all your help so far: this one is puzzling me.

I have a very simple notation with four bars of the same note, tied together, followed by another four, etc.. On playback, everything seems fine until the third grouping, and suddenly the tied note keeps playing into the next bar and beyond, to the point of a very multi-layered mess!

I have tried ending the tie early and shoving a rest in, but it seems to be a stuck note on playback rather than something that can be fixed through the viewable notation. I'm hoping someone has a fix for this as it makes listening pretty much useless

G'day Jenny,
Which version of NWC? If it's NWC 1.75 then it sounds like you have a note with an accidental tied across a barline to another note that does not have the accidental applied. In NWC2, this has been programmed around, but in 1.75 you need to explicitly state the accidental in each bar.
